DEWC Services increasing support for ADF electronic warfare
DEWC Services is expanding their support to ADF Electronic Warfare (EW) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Cyber capabilities. In the last two years, the Adelaide based SME has doubled their workforce and is expected to exceed 50 staff in 2021.
DEWC Services provides specialist expertise and support to the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) in three key areas:
ADF EW capabilities in current operational service such as the EW systems on the RAN Romeo Helicopter
CASG Major Capital Acquisitions involving EW and ISR systems including the Joint Strike and the Wedgetail Mid-Life Upgrade.
DSTG Science and Technology research and development for future EW and ISR capabilities.
Allan Dundas, Managing Director of DEWC Services, stated that “DEWC Services EW expertise is responding to the rapid expansion of ADF EW and ISR capabilities, and the increasing scale and complexity of modern warfighting needs in the Electromagnetic Spectrum battlespace.
“We’re investing heavily in expanding and upskilling workforce capacity to respond to the needs of the ADO through targeted initiatives. We’re collaborating with various ADO elements to reinvigorate workforce development efforts including pooling of scarce resources and flexible approaches to service delivery.”
“We’ve significantly expanded our Graduate Program to build the next generation of talented Engineers and Scientists and we continue to recruit ex-ADF veterans and Australian expats who share our passion for EW, ISR and Cyber to serve and protect Australia’s sovereign interests.”
DEWC Services is Australia’s foremost EW consultancy with extensive operational and technical expertise. Their sustained EW consultancy activities have been providing support to the ADF for almost 10 years.
“It is an exciting time to be working in the defence industry in particular at DEWC Services where we’re working on interesting projects using cutting edge technology,” Dundas said.
With a forward-looking focus on the rapidly evolving EM battlespace, DEWC Services will optimize their EW capabilities investing in workforce growth of both experienced practitioners and the next cohort of EW, ISR and Cyber graduates this year. DEWC’s active collaboration with DSTG, ADF and CASG to innovate on sustainable workforce and service delivery in areas of scarce specialist EW/ISR/Cyber expertise in an increasingly complex domain, 2021 is shaping up to be a year of knowledge and capability growth for DEWC Services in their pursuit of bringing the warfighter home safely.
